What you love will control your life. We can fall in love with almost anything: a person, place, money, social status, chemical or emotional high, etc.. If you want to know what you love most, just look at what your life revolves around. Are you headed in the right direction? Our mission is to provide a refuge of hope and healing while Christ picks up the broken pieces and builds a new man.

We use a four-step recovery plan. This recovery period is a time for the men to work on themselves physically, mentally, and spiritually. They are taught from the Bible how to be godly men, husbands, fathers, sons, and brothers. Our goal is to lead them to Christ and see their lives changed for the glory of God.

Aspen Grogan

CEO and Founder

Aspen and Brandi Grogan walked in the doors of Concord Baptist Church in 2016 at the invitation of Aspen’s brother, Dakota and his wife, Mariah. It was there that they heard the truth from the Bible and accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord & Savior. They are now faithful members of Concord committed to helping men overcome addiction through the Mercy Home.

Our Staff

Pastor Randy Sutherland

Pastor Randy Sutherland and his family play a vital part at the Mercy Home through the arm of Concord Baptist Church. Pillars of the church and a light for many, Pastor Sutherland preaches each week directly from the unchangeable Word of God and Sister Amy faithfully teaches the adult women’s Sunday school class at Concord. Their children, John, Hannah, Katie, and Luke (along with wife, Esther), are heavy involved with the youth,  music, and various other ministries at Concord. This family has truly committed their lives to the work of the Lord and His Church.

Dakota Grogan

Dakota and Mariah Grogan walked through the doors of Concord Baptist Church along with their first child, Noah, in 2014. It was there that God began to mold this family for his Glory. God soon called Brother Dakota into the Ministry in 2015 and blessed them with another child, Nora, shortly thereafter as well. Dakota and Mariah faithfully pour their time and hearts into the young people of the church and are equally dedicated to the work of the Mercy Home.

Stages of Recovery

During this stage, we will acclimate the men to structure and guidelines. They will face the harsh realities of damage done to their personal relationships, and move toward reconciliation with God and others. We will focus on:

  • His relationship with God
  • His relationship with Himself
  • His relationship with his Family

For by Grace are you saved trough faith; and not of yourselves: it is a gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

We will focus on rejection, shame, abuse, guilt, unworthiness and insecurity and discuss how these wounds have controlled their lives. Self-exploration provides an opportunity for healing of the mind, the will, and the emotions from a Biblical perspective. We will focus on:

  • Rejection
  • Grieving
  • Shame
  • Forgiveness

ISAIAH 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed.

Next, we begin building back a better man. Regeneration means to become a new creation in Christ. He not only offers us a restoration to our past, but promises us a better future. We will focus on:

  • Chemical Dependency
  • Overcoming Temptations
  • Identifying Triggers

2 CORINTHIANS 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away: behold, all things are become new.

Here we will set goals, build a future, and prepare the men to exit back into the world. Upon completion, they will be equipped with the God-given tools to live

a sober, healthy, and Godly lifestyle. We will focus on:

  • Commitment
  • Contentment
  • Consistency
  • Responsibilities

1 PETER 5:8

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

  • Trustworthy, Caring, and Honest Team Members

  • Clean and Well Kept Living Facilities

  • Large Tabernacle for Church Services

  • Large Dining Hall and Gym Area

  • KJV Bible Resources and Learning Programs
